Advertising on the Web...Why advertise in this Web Magazine? As suppliers of an eclectic product -- Volvo specialties -- you need to reach a dispersed and specific client base. This publication targets exactly the people who are your potential clients worldwide. Early results from our ongoing Visitor's Poll indicate that about half of our readers do not receive a club magazine -- probably your main advertising venue at present. Here is your opportunity to reach hundreds of people who need your products and who may not even know your company exists. Web advertising differs from print advertising in significant ways. However, lacking a better example, we are basing our rates to be in line with club magazines of comparable readership. In attempting to offer our advertisers the most "bang for the buck," we offer the following basic packages. These are guidelines only -- we can pretty much create whatever it is you need.
Suggested packages:If your company has its own Website, a clickable banner linking our visitors to your site is your least expensive option. This banner might incorporate your company logo and a short message, and would appear in "The Parts Connection," our advertising index page. If you are currently advertising in print only, we suggest the single-screen display ad as a minimum. This is roughly equivalent to 1/3 of a magazine page in a normal font. A banner on our advertising index page is included in the price. If your needs are more elaborate, we offer multi-screen display ads -- essentially miniature Websites within our magazine. Such ads might include automated on-line order forms and additional graphic elements. The great majority of respondents to our poll so far consider an on-line ordering capability "very valuable."

Single-screen display ads are designed to fit into a browser window with little or no scrolling. Included in the rate are a colored, stripe or tiled background, an E-mail link to your company, your logo (we will make a reasonable attempt to create one if you cannot provide color artwork), as much text as will fit, and, of course, a standard banner. We will make occasional, reasonable updates to your text (price revisions or "Specials," for instance) as necessary.
Rates:
Multi-screen display ads give you room to "stretch out" and include pictures of your products or a limited catalog of items. In addition to the regular E-mail link, we can provide a basic on-line order form for a number of items. Additional automation (for instance, an interactive "shopping cart" that calculates a customer's bill before placing an order) is also available on a case-by-case basis.
Single-screen rates as above, PLUS:
Example:Suppose you placed a 3-screen ad for 6 months. This is similar to a full page in a print magazine, but in full color and with a built-in incentive for the reader to contact you via E-mail on the spot (what print ad can make that claim?):
