We welcome all Volvo-related materials. If you have an interesting Volvo, an amusing story, a technical tip, a frustrating problem, we'd like to hear about it. If your club held an event, we'd like to report it. Original photos, cartoons, artwork or other visual elements are particularly desired.

Read this first . . .

• We will consider any materials received as "for publication" unless you specifically indicate otherwise. We reserve the right to edit sections for clarity and to correct spelling. We will not insert our own language or change the meaning of your piece.
• We will not knowingly publish copyrighted material without permission of the copyright holder. Please state that we may publish such material if this applies to you.
• If you are not the author / photographer / artist, please give credit to that person.
• We would like to include your city / country in the "by line." If you would like to list a club affiliation, we are happy to include that as well. We will not publish your E-mail address unless you request it!

Submitting Text:

You write it . . .	we publish it . . .	and you're on the Infohighway!

• We will attempt to scan your document. If word processing, please do not put graphic lines, bullets, or special characters in the body of your text. If it's not on your keyboard, it won't fit in a web document.
• If typewritten, please try to give us the darkest, cleanest copy you can. Carbon copies will not scan properly.

Submitting Visual Material:

You create it . . .	we scan it . . .	and you're on the World Wide Web!

• Please include some sort of caption for your photos or drawings. If they accompany an article, please indicate which goes where.
• If you are digitizing your own graphics for electronic submission, please scan them at 72 DPI. Compressing JPG images for "medium" quality is usually fine.
• Photos must be prints. We cannot process slides or negatives.
• We attempt to keep visuals as small as possible so that pages will load quickly. Make sure that you do not depend on large size for your visuals to be effective.
• If you include a self-addressed stamped envelope, we are happy to return your photos. We cannot, of course, guarantee the safety of the mail.

• E-mailing text is just great. If you attach a word-processed document, please try to export it as ASCII text. We can convert many other formats, but not all.
• If you attach digitized graphics, please use GIF, JPG or, if you must, BMP formats. If possible, zip them up. Macintosh users: sorry, we cannot handle "Stuffit" compression.
• 3 1/2" diskettes must be formatted for IBM. All the above considerations apply to whatever is on the diskette, of course.
