Morph.liv DESCRIPTION This Live Tab file gives you a way to morph two path objects HOW TO USE 1. Select a path object. To morph a shape (e.g., a rounded rectangle), first click the shape with the Pen Selection Tool to convert the shape into a path. To morph a text object, first select the text object and choose Object->Convert Into->Objects. 2. In the Morph Live Tab, click Use Selected to define the start object. Make sure that the Selection Tool (black arrow) is active when you click the Use Selected button. 3. Select the path object you want to morph the first object into. 4. In the Live Tab, click Use Selected to define the End Object. 5. Specify the duration of the morph in number of frames. 6. Press the Morph button. The start object will contain the morph, and the morph will begin where the Current Time Marker was positioned when you clicked the Morph button. Reverse Path: If you need to reverse a path direction just enter the path number into the edit field and click Reverse Path. This is used in the case where the morph does not look right because one or more paths are being flipped. Tips: 1. Try to make objects that have the same number of points. This will make the morph smoother and better looking. If one of the objects has more points than the other, the Live Tab will evenly distribute more points on the object with fewer points. In most cases this will look fine. 2. If your morph contains a very large number of points when you hit the morph button, you might have to wait a few minutes for it to finish. 3. The Morph Live Tab generates keyframes for the Replace and Shape Resize attributes. To change individual frames of the morph, reveal these attributes by selecting the morphing object on the timeline and pressing the U key, then make adjustments.
